Echoes of Old Beliefs

60 x 60 cm. Echoes of Old Beliefs explores how we travel from what we once believed into what we are becoming. Rust holds the past like residue, the way old stories cling to the body. Volcanic sand and ash act as geological memory, carrying pressure, dust, and time. At the centre is a blue opening, a kind of wormhole or passage, where outdated beliefs can be shed and the future can be entered. The work asks how we let go of what no longer holds joy and how light can emerge from decay.
